Cultural politics follow both national as well as international developments and trends. In some instances, national decisions of the utterly problematic kind are taken that are obviously more intended to install so called stability, and most of all: control. There are, however, many regulations at work from which numerous on the national level. What has to be considered and can be done to keep a specific national cultural policy in the loop of the international discourse? Is the privatization of the cultural field the only solution? Where can be found parallels as well as differences between the various developments in state cultural politics across Europe?

The discussion will be held in English.
Free entrance.
All are welcome!
