The 5th season of CHECK IN BUDAPEST begins!This idiosyncratic lecture will seek to map out a non-exhaustive trajectory of withdrawal, in terms of aesthetic gestures and in terms of practitioners who either temporarily or permanently withdrew from the field of art in western 20th century and contemporary art.
Chris Sharp is currently preparing 'A Necessarily Incomplete Anthology of Withdrawal,' to be published by Archive Books, Berlin, in 2011.
