Akbank Sanat announces the third edition of the International Curator Competition. Akbank Sanat International Curator Competition provides support for emerging curators from around the world, reinforce interest in curatorial practices, and encourage new projects in the field of contemporary art. The winning curator is given opportunities to realize the proposal as an exhibition that will take place in the first half of 2015 at Akbank Sanat Art Centre, Istanbul, accompanied by an exhibition catalogue and additional activities. The curatorial fee, the exhibition production, travel expenses of the curator/s and artists, the production of the catalogue and the additional activities will be covered by Akbank Sanat.
Curators under the age of 40 are eligible to apply for the competition. There is no condition of residency or citizenship. Curators may apply for the competition as individuals as well as in groups (or as curatorial collectives). Curators will not be allowed to participate as artists in the projects. There is no application fee.

Studio das weisse haus, a residency and studio program in Vienna, is offering a residency for a young international curator. The residency is going to take place from September 22 until November 23, 2014. The thematic focus of this residency are media arts and interdisciplinary approaches that can be embraced by the notion of“artistic research”. The curators are invited to submit their exhibition projects oriented on this field of artistic practice interconnecting the strategies and methodologies of media arts and science. The intended solo or group exhibition will be realized during the curator`s residency at the exhibition space of das weisse haus, starting on November 11, 2014.

Win a Chance for a month residency in China at Da Wang Culture Highland! Painters, sculptors, photographers, videographers, ceramists, and performance artists are all eligible. Furthermore, this residency can only take place in November 2013 so the artist is required to be available at this date.
Following the collecting traditions of the Esterházy princes, the Esterházy Art Award 'sponsored by Uniqua' was established in 2009, and is awarded biennaly. With the prize, the foundation aims to help young and talented contemporary painters in starting their professional carrer. The independent jury awards 5000 euro prize for two to three Hungarian artists under the age of 40.
Nida Art Colony offers curated and independent stays for invited or selected open call professional artists, designers, architects, curators, art critics and art researchers. The programme aims to foster critical thinking, creativity, innovative ideas, and cooperation of artists. Artists-in-residence are encouraged to engage in educational and locally based practices: an artist talk or workshop may be tailored for Nida Art School pupils, Vilnius Academy of Arts students and professors or anything in between.
Duration of a NAC residency is two to six months. NAC hosts about 50 artists-in-residency per year and about one third is supported by grants. Duration of a NAC residency is two to six months.

In co-operation with Kultur Kontakt Austria, the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture makes available 50 residencies in Vienna for the year 2014. The call is open for artists, writers, comoposers, curators and art educators whose place of residence is outside of Austria. The residences are available to the following disciplines: Visual Arts, Photography, Video and Media Art, Design, Composition, Literature and literary translation, Contemporary dance and coreography. Participants are recieving accomodation and access to studio in Vienna, a stipend of 800 euro/month, 300 euro support for art supplies.

Creating Through Collaboration. Space. Body. Camera is a unique art workshop conducted by Grzegorz Kowalski. The CCA Ujazdowski Castle for the third time has the honour of hosting this event designed to enable artists from around the world to work together and broaden the horizons of their own artistic practices applying the genuine method developed by Kowalski who is the head of the most important art studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
