The Ph. D. Program in Art History of the Graduate Center of the City University of New York invites submissions for a graduate student symposium on the historiography of the 20th century’s “avant-garde” movements in art, architecture and design.

The Jean-Claude Reynal Foundation, under the auspices of the Foundation of France, in collaboration with the Fine Arts School of Bordeaux, offers an annual grant of 10,000 euros to enable a young artist, who works directly on paper, to travel to a country of his/her choice for a period of 6 months maximum.

The NARS Foundation, a non-for-profit arts organization founded in 2006 based in Brooklyn, awards Full and Partial Residential Grants for up to twelve months. We seek applications on two levels. The first level includes emerging and mid-career artists, for whom appointments as resident artists might make a significant impact on their careers. The second level consists of artists with established national and/or international reputations for whom a change of environment may offer refreshment and inspiration.
The 2011 Season I Residency Program offers full and partial residential grants for six months starting January 2011.

Yorkshire Artspace in 2011 is hosting their first residency in the Parson Cross neighbourhood of Sheffield. This is in partnership with SOAR, a local area regeneration organisation who have successfully secured funding to build a mixed use development of office and light industrial spaces which will include 10 studio units managed by Yorkshire Artspace.
A fee of £5000 is offered and have an additional materials and travel/accommodation budget.
